Which are the best restaurants in Bulgaria? The winners of the Takeaway.com Awards 2023, chosen by user votes, have now been revealed. Who won awards in various categories at the regional and national level?

Takeaway.com has announced the restaurants that won the Takeaway.com Awards 2023. The awards are being presented in Bulgaria for the fourth consecutive year. The aim is to highlight restaurants across the country that have earned the approval of Bulgarians and distinguished themselves with incredible food over the past year.

Each category reflects a wide variety of cuisines and consumer preferences, from traditional offerings to contemporary creativity. Our goal has always been to provide customers with access to the best restaurants and catering establishments anytime, anywhere. The Takeaway.com Awards allow us to recognize the success of our restaurant partners and continue to promote excellence in the food delivery industry," says Yuliana Hartarska, Regional Manager for Takeaway.com in Bulgaria.

The awards are presented to restaurants in 17 separate categories. This year, the winners were selected based on consumer votes cast on the Takeaway.com platform. A significant number of restaurants competed for the recognition, and consumers had the opportunity to vote for them between November 13 and December 13, 2023. The total number of votes exceeded 20,000. All participating restaurants, with the exception of national and international chains, are automatically included in the "Best Restaurant in Bulgaria" category. The winner in this category is the restaurant with the most votes across all categories.

Takeaway.com awarded the best restaurants across the country: from pizzerias to burger joints, sushi bars, and beloved Bulgarian dishes. The awards were based on a variety of criteria, including cuisine type and geographic location. Here's an overview of the rankings:
