Sunny Beach is among the top 100 best beaches in the world.

A popular resort in Bulgaria Sunny Beach entered the Top 100 and took 84th place in the prestigious ranking of the "Top 100 Best Beaches in the World." The search for the most attractive beaches for the "«Golden Beach 2024»" is based on voting by opinion leaders, travel influencers and travel experts.

Thus, the Bulgarian resort has overtaken such global destinations as Varadero, Cuba, Bavaro, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.

The sandy strip, 6 kilometers long and almost 70 meters wide, will welcome its first guests in about 20 days.

«"This is the first time a Bulgarian beach has made it into such a ranking. We are very proud of this award, which we have received thanks to our hard work," beach concessionaire Kirill Spasov told Nova TV.

Sunny Beach beach is also a holder of the Blue Flag environmental award.

To meet the criteria this year, preparations began in early April. For the safety of vacationers during the busy season, 52 lifeguard stations, located 100 meters apart, are in place. Attractions are also included in the ranking criteria, which ranked the beach 84th in the world.
