Varna's Grand Tour 2026: Hidden Nooks, Sea Garden, and Port (1.5 hours in 4K)

Welcome to the Sea Capital of Bulgaria! We invite you to the longest and most comprehensive video tour of Varna. This time, we'll go beyond the typical short tourist routes and immerse ourselves in the city's true life—from its hidden, cozy streets to the endless expanses of the sea.

This video was filmed on September 5, 2026, on a truly hot summer day (+30°C). Over the course of an hour and a half, we leisurely explore all the city's iconic sites. Thanks to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera and its superior image sensor, you'll see Varna in every detail: from the deep shadows beneath the cathedrals to the dazzlingly bright, sun-drenched boulevards. 📍 What to expect on the route (Video guide):

⛪ Heart of the City and Architecture [00:00 – 27:00] Our journey begins at the majestic symbol of the city, the Assumption Cathedral. We'll not only tour its exterior but also step inside **** to admire its stunning interiors. Then, through the souvenir stalls, we'll reach the elegant pedestrian street of Preslav. Strolling along Independence Square past the Opera House, we'll stop at the Grande Bar menu to check the current prices in euros ****. The route will take us past the City Compass, a monument to the architect Dabko Dabkov, and onto the bustling Knez Boris I Boulevard, where we'll turn into the charming circular Shishkova Gradinka square ****.

🌳 Coolness of the Marine Park and Traditions [28:00 - 48:00] Escaping the midday heat, we head to the monumental central entrance to the Sea Garden (Morska gradina), accompanied by a street singer. Inside the park, a surprise awaits us: traditional Bulgarian dancing and festivities on Anton Novak Square ****. We'll pass the famous floral sign "VARNA," rest on the Panoramic Benches overlooking the sea, and reach the open-air "Rakovina" stage, where the folklore festival continues.

🌊 Embankment, Beaches and Marine Station [49:00 - 01:14:00] Descending the Sea Terrace, we find ourselves right on the **** waterfront. A stroll along the promenade takes us past the iconic beach bars Cubo and Menthol. Moving along the coast past the Primorski outdoor swimming pool, we arrive at the Maritime Station (Morska Gara) ****. Here, we explore the port's architecture, admire the pirate party ships, and climb to the observation deck at the Captain Cook restaurant.

🏛️ Finale: Return to the City [01:14:43 – 01:30:48] The final part of our journey is a leisurely stroll from the port back to the center. We'll pass the Methodist Church and arrive at the monumental Varna Municipality (City Hall) building. After a refreshing dip at the city fountains near the Archaeological Museum, we'll conclude this grand, hour-and-a-half-long tour at Red Square.
