Fuel prices throughout Bulgaria will remain low until the end of summer.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association, Svyatoslav Benchev, reports Telegraf.

Over the past month, the most popular petrol and diesel fuels have fallen in price by 3-3.51 leva, with A-95 available in various places from 2.35 to 2.81 leva per litre, and diesel fuel at 2.30 and 2.85 leva per litre, as shown by data on the Fuelo.net website.

«"The good thing about the Bulgarian market is that we have a lot of gas stations, which creates conditions for very strong competition. According to the National Petroleum Association, there are around 3,000 gas stations in Bulgaria," explained the head of the BPGA. At the start of the season, demand for diesel fuel in Europe increased, primarily due to the growth of transportation services.

«"We don't have any problems in this regard in Bulgaria. As long as Neftokhim is operating, we're covered. The refinery produces almost twice as much fuel as we need. So the situation is within normal limits," Benchev explained.

«"There are no problems with oil prices either. They're currently around $77 per barrel. These levels are holding because consumption in China isn't very strong. The economy there isn't working. I've said many times, and I'll repeat it again, that we're unlikely to expect any sharp price changes before the US presidential election.".

This means we'll be hovering around $80, give or take. If it was $84 per barrel, it's now down to $77 per barrel, the association chairman gave as an example.

Mass-market A-95 gasoline was selling for an average of BGN 2.59 per liter, while Fuelo.net data shows that over the past month the price has fallen by only 6 cents/liter, or BGN 2.261.

A liter of diesel fuel was sold at Bulgarian gas stations yesterday for BGN 2.57, a decrease of BGN 3.021 compared to July 23. Both fuels are seeing a downward trend.

The price of methane yesterday fluctuated between 1.69 and 3 leva per kilogram. The natural gas sold for an average of 2.07 leva per kilogram. The price depends on the natural gas price determined by KEVR, explains Benchev.

Propane-butane costs an average of BGN 1.18 per liter, with prices at various gas stations ranging from BGN 1.16 to BGN 1.18 per liter. Fuelo.net predicts price stagnation.
