General information
Kranevo seems divided into two parts. The area of the village near the beach is dotted with modern hotels, huge supermarkets, and expensive-looking villas.

Almost every facade in this area of the village has bright flashing signs. Just a few streets inside, in another part of the village, everything looks completely different—tidy houses with courtyards, neighborhood shops, and family-run cafes.

In 1968, springs of mineral water with a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius were discovered in the area. The Kranevo River flows near the village. 

Location

The resort is located on the northern coast of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Between the resorts Albena и Golden Sands. Three kilometers south of the resort is Cape Ekrene, its former name, home to a lighthouse visible from the Varna-Balchik road. Between Kranevo and the Albena resort lies the Baltata Nature Reserve, home to a forest over 60 years old, where you can see several protected plant and animal species.

From here to the resort of Albena it’s only two A kilometer away and can be reached on foot along the beach. Kranevo is a climatotherapeutic seaside resort.

Beach

Kranevo is great because it has the same beach as Albena, and it even has a Blue Flag. The beach is more than one and a half Kilometers. The beach is wide with fine, light sand. The entry into the water is gentle, making it suitable for children. If you head towards Albena, you'll find fewer people and a more secluded area. Access to the beaches is free.

The beach is divided into paid areas, where you can rent an umbrella and sun lounger, and free areas, where you can bring your own beach equipment.
